Although this verse seems to speak to the married women, I do not believe that it stops there. We women, whether married or unmarried, are a jewel in God’s eyes. We have value beyond being a spouse. We are wives, mothers, sisters, aunts, caretakers (sometimes of other’s children). We have careers. Some of us outside the home in the business world, while others of us are taking care of the home.

Some of us are preparing ourselves for our future mate. Some of us are trying to be the woman we should be with the mate we have. All of us have worries, frustrations, hopes, dreams, and ambitions. All of us need a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, or even someone to be silly with.

My hope with “Rarer Than Rubies” is that we not only can work to become the Godly women that God intended us to be, but that we can find fulfillment in doing what God has ordained us to do. It is my hope that through this connection with fellow women, that we can support each other in growth, enjoy each others friendship, make new friends, and above all, grow closer to the God who gives us the strength and ability to be the women who are ‘Rarer than Rubies.’
